This course will support you to explore how to effectively support children with additional support needs (ASN) in their numeracy learning. We will provide practical strategies, tools, and confidence to help you make a real difference.
Numeracy is a vital skill for life, but for children with ASN, it can present unique challenges. As parents, carers, or aspiring pupil support assistants, your role is crucial in helping them unlock their potential. This course will help you understand those challenges and give you the tools to tackle them.

• Introduction to ASN and Numeracy Challenges: A foundational overview of the challenges children with ASN may face in numeracy, helping participants understand key areas of difficulty.
• Practical Strategies for Numeracy Support: Simple, easy-to-apply strategies and tools for supporting numeracy development in children with ASN
• Confidence Building for Parents, Carers, and Pupil Support Staff: Addressing the common lack of confidence in supporting numeracy, providing participants with practical skills to use at home or in an educational setting.
