Course description
Discover the healing power of poetry in this beginner-friendly course designed to enhance mental health and wellbeing through creative expression. Writing poetry can be a powerful tool for processing emotions, reducing stress, and fostering self-awareness. This course provides a safe and supportive space for participants to explore their thoughts and feelings through guided writing exercises, reading inspiring poems, and engaging in mindful reflection.
No prior writing experience is required—just a willingness to explore creativity and self-expression. Each session will introduce simple poetic techniques, helping participants build confidence in their writing while using poetry as a means of self-care. Activities will include journaling prompts, freewriting, and experimenting with different poetic forms, all designed to encourage personal growth and inner exploration.
Sharing is always optional, and the focus is on the process rather than perfection. By the end of the course, participants will have created a personal collection of poems and developed a deeper connection with their emotions. Whether you're looking to ease anxiety, gain new perspectives, or simply enjoy a creative outlet, this course offers a gentle and uplifting approach to using poetry for wellbeing.
