Course description
An introduction to the history of the art community of artists attracted to St Ives in Cornwall in the 19th Century. Moving onto to its heyday in the mid-20th Century with the arrival of Barbara Hepworth, and Ben Nicholson, and the discovery of the artwork of retired fisherman Alfred Wallis, to creation of the Tate St Ives and its collection.
