Would you like to be able to speak and understand a little bit of Greek when you next visit Greece or Cyprus? Or are you simply interested in learning a language? This online complete beginners' course is designed to help you develop some basic speaking and listening skills in Greek and gain an insight into the Greek lifestyle and culture. In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, you will be introduced to some basic everyday language and you will have plenty of opportunity to practise key words and phrases in a fun and enjoyable way through a variety of activities.

Course description

This online complete beginners' course is designed to help you develop some basic speaking and listening skills in Greek and gain an insight into the Greek lifestyle and culture. The emphasis will be on the development of your speaking and listening skills through various fun activities. You will also be gradually introduced to the Greek alphabet so that you can read a few simple words and phrases such as a few items on a menu.

Topics include greeting people, requesting snacks and drinks, asking about and understanding prices, and asking for and following simple directions to various places.

The course is taught by a well-qualified and experienced native speaker with many years’ teaching experience who will help you explore the language and the culture. When you complete this course, you can progress to another Modern Greek course if you would like to continue developing your language skills.
