How Our Democracy Works is a 16-hour course for learners with English as a second language who are keen to know more about how UK democracy works. Part 2 of a brief introduction to the rich cinema of Eastern Europe. It gives you an opportunity to explore the rich film industries of Eastern Europe. Their influence on world cinema is bigger than you may have thought despite its many decades under Socialist regimes that imposed certain styles, themes, and heavy censorship. This half-day course will focus on developments since the break-up of the Soviet block at the turn of the 1990s and the emergence of national cinemas in newly formed countries following the dissolution of Yugoslavia.

Seated Yoga allows you to enjoy the health benefits of yoga whilst staying seated in a chair. Seated Yoga is both a fun and relaxing activity that will support your physical and mental well-being. These weekly online sessions will help improve overall fitness and improve your strength, flexibility and mobility. All practices are adapted to meet your individual needs. We will focus on improving your awareness of your breathing as you move, creating a calming flow of movement. Each session ends with a guided relaxation practice helping you to ease symptoms of stress and tension.

This Art for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) course is a 4-week watercolour painting course for anyone wanting to learn or improve their painting skills. You will learn how to draw and paint within a group of like-minded people. Guidance and support are offered throughout the course from our talented tutor, to develop your artistic skills. You will also have the opportunity to connect with and support others in a friendly classroom environment and improve your English conversational skills. No previous skills in watercolours are needed to join this group.
