Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
Have you ever heard the phrase ‘Everyone has a novel in them?’ This is your chance to get yours on the page! Even if you don’t have an idea yet, you can begin to develop your writing and experiment with different ideas until you find the story that is hiding inside of you.
Covering elements beyond the basics of form and function and foster creative thinking and experimentation in your writing, as well as refreshing and building on some of the important foundational concepts of the subject. Sharing ideas and successes in a group will help you develop self-confidence and further explore your creativity too.
You only need a pen and paper—or maybe just your computer!
· Develop your confidence as a writer.
· Build towards creating an effective creative writing practice.
· Personal development—especially if you want to get that first novel out of your head and onto paper.
This course is a follow-up to “Writing Your First Novel: Next Level” course but is suitable for newly enrolling students with some confidence in their writing or fiction writing skills. Previous enrollers on ‘Writing Your First Novel: Advanced’ are welcome to join, but the content will not be new to them.
