Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.

Introduction to Permaculture Design at Community Roots Two Day Course 26th/27th of July 2025
If you are interested in working with land, nature or community, the introduction to permaculture design course will offer an opportunity to further your interest and enjoy time learning out of doors .
This welcoming community education course will be hosted at Community Roots Garden. No prior experience is necessary. The course will consist of a bit of fun theory, discussions and practical land based outdoot sessions. During the two day course you will become familiar with the ethics an principles of design and develop practical skills in designing land based or social projects.
Permaculture is a design framework based upon principles found in nature. It is successfully used for designing organic food production in gardens and land based projects and is also used by community groups and organisations for designing for social change and building healthy human environments.
