The Driving Theory for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Learners course is specifically designed to assist non-native English speakers in preparing for and passing their driving theory test. This course focuses on building essential language skills and understanding of driving rules and regulations in an English-speaking context. Participants will gain confidence in both their language proficiency and their knowledge of traffic signs, road safety, and driving laws necessary to pass the theory test. The course takes place in a friendly and encouraging environment, supported by a specialist tutor and the team at WEA.

Course description

The Driving Theory for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Learners course is tailored to assist non-native English speakers in comprehensively preparing for their driving theory test. This course focuses on equipping participants with both the essential language skills and the necessary knowledge of traffic regulations and road safety principles in an English-speaking context. Through interactive learning methods and practical exercises, learners will build confidence in understanding driving theory concepts, navigating road signs, and effectively preparing for the theoretical aspects of obtaining a driver's license. The WEA pride ourselves on our ability to create a friendly classroom atmosphere, at venues within your community. Your tutor will support you through your learning journey, every step of the way. Our courses are free for most of our learners, but please bring proof of eligibility when you come to enrol. We can’t wait to see you there!

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need.
