Crafting is known to relax those who participate in it and the added bonus with decoupage is you can make some lovely handmade gifts for friends and family for pennies, using items you can find around the house or in charity shops This course is aimed at beginners and more experienced crafters, so anyone who has an interest in craft is more than welcome. During this course we will be using a range of techniques and materials to design create and embellish handmade items to decorate our Christmas trees, homes and dining tables ready for the big day. This course is designed to ignite your creativity and equip you with the knowledge and skills to craft stunning, personalised greeting cards to delight friends and family over the festive season. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience in card making you'll learn a variety of techniques and fold styles to create unique professional looking cards that will wow your recipients. On this course we will look at: · design principles · Bought or made card bases? · different crafting techniques · the use of various materials and tools · Dimension and bling. We will use a variety of fun folds, including pop-up and diorama, to create our stunning showstopper cards. Crafting is known to enhance your mental well-being, helping to manage the stress we often feel at this time of year so come and join our friendly supportive group of like minded crafters and make something gorgeous!

This course is designed to ignite your imagination and help you express your creativity through mixed media art journaling. Whether you're a beginner, who would like to try a new hobby, or a more experienced crafter on this course we will look at a variety of techniques and different mediums to create unique, expressive journal pages. No prior art experience is necessary- just an open mind and a desire to explore your creativity. During this course we will: • Look at the fundamentals of art journaling and it’s benefit for personal expression. • Experiment with variety of techniques such as drawing, doodling, painting and collage. • Develop your own style showcasing your creativity • Learn how to use prompts to inspire your journal pages. • Build your confidence in using art as a form of self expression.

Come and join an enthusiastic group of creative crafters who, along with an experienced tutor will strive to unlock their creativity in this hands-on craft course. On this course you will be guided to see your scraps differently and see the craft potential of things you would normally throw away. Whatever paper-craft you are into each session of this course aims to unleash your creativity as you repurpose materials from your stash into pockets, embellishments, handmade cards, and ephemera pieces. For this course you will need minimal supplies and a full list will be available on Canvas but to get started it would be helpful to have some of the following: Assorted paper – plain and patterned and coloured cardstock Scissors Glue sticks, wet glue, adhesive tape. Old books / magazines Buttons, ribbons beads, die cut shapes.
