Learn to Draw and Paint Animals in Watercolour and Mixed Media Unleash your creativity and connect with nature's beauty in our one-day course, "Learn to Draw and Paint Animals in Watercolour and Mixed Media," hosted at the welcoming Springbourne Library and facilitated by The WEA (Workers' Educational Association). This inspiring workshop invites participants to explore the vibrant world of animal artistry through watercolour and mixed media techniques. Throughout the course, you'll be guided through the process of capturing the essence and character of animals in your artwork. With expert instruction, you'll learn to use line, tone, texture, and colour to bring your chosen animal portrait to life in a unique and expressive way.

This course is ONLY for residents of West Sussex. Please do not apply if you are from a West Sussex postcode area. This short course is designed for learners currently studying ESOL who want to learn more about the language and skills that will help you manage your money, make good shopping decisions, and understand budgeting. The course will look at the principles of managing money in everyday situations like comparing prices on the high street, working out the best deal for transport to get to work or learning, or the cost of cooking a meal.

Over 5 consecutive days, you’ll set an achievable goal, immerse yourself in 45 minutes of writing and get feedback from the tutor and peers when you share. Imagine the amount of work and momentum you’ll build over 5 days.

Please note this course is ONLY for residents of West Sussex. This short course is designed for learners currently studying ESOL who want to learn more about the language and skills that will help you manage your money, make good shopping decisions, and understand budgeting. This course is supported by the Government-funded Multiply program which means that it is free for any learner with a West Sussex postcode.

Do you want to start learning English? Come and join First Steps In ESOL. You can meet other people and improve your English skills. Classes are held in a friendly and supportive venue. This course is for beginners. After completing it, you could move onto an Entry 1 course such as Get Ready for ESOL Entry 1. We’ll cover Use numbers 1 to 50 in English Match lower- and upper-case letters Ask and answer questions in English Spell out your name, saying the letters correctly Match common everyday signs to their meanings in English Improve your confidence to learning.

During this course you will be invited to consider how we handle potential landfill materials and waste, depending on how they can be used. You will learn how to transform an old product into something which has a greater value than the original, by re-working and decorating throw away objects transforming them into new and usable plant pots and/or garden decorations. At the end of the course, your new upcycled products will be placed outside, at the back of the Hub, to also uplift the environment and replenish the space for the enjoyment and benefit of all.
