Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject

Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course overview
Course description
The workshop will commence with an introduction to materials and tools, ensuring participants are equipped with the knowledge to confidently handle acrylic paints, brushes, and surfaces. Through step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on practice, you will gain a solid understanding of colour theory, perspective, and the importance of light and shadow in landscape painting.
As the day progresses, you will be encouraged to experiment with different styles and approaches, fostering your unique artistic voice and creativity. Whether you are drawn to serene sunsets, rugged mountains, or tranquil seascapes, this course will empower you to translate your vision onto canvas with confidence and flair. The experienced tutor will guide and walk you through new techniques; give space to analyse and improve work done, and encourage a motivating and open safe space for reflection and encouragement
By the end of the workshop, participants will have completed their own expressive landscape painting, ready to take home and proudly display. Moreover, you will leave with newfound skills, inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the art of acrylic painting. The course will end with next steps and progressions.
