This course is for adult learners whose first language is not English. The course will provide support with English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and is particularly aimed at learners who need extra help with reading and writing and the English alphabet. On this course you will improve reading and writing, including spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and simple sentences. The course is for learners with a pre-entry level of English. This is the continuing course and gives the learners to progress onto the next stage of their learning at this level and will help prepare them to move onto entry 1 provision in September.

You will be in a mixed group of intermediate to advanced learners and will have the opportunity to practice your English in a number of different situations.

This beginner to pre-intermediate course will help you to communicate basic ideas in English on a range of everyday topics. You will practise reading, writing, speaking and listening, with a focus on conversation skills. You will also learn new vocabulary, improve your pronunciation, and start to learn about basic English grammar. You will work with other learners at a similar level and be expected to take part in pair and group activities in the classroom. If you have little to no experience speaking and learning English - this is the course for you. We have an experienced and professional tutor who will offer you the guidance, support and practice needed to improve your English language ability. The classes will be relaxed, informal and friendly - a safe space to meet new people and learn new skills.
