West Sussex Multiply Course; Welcome to the 'Language for Numeracy' course! This course is designed to help you understand and use English in mathematical contexts. You will learn to read and write numbers, understand math terms, and solve basic problems. You will learn how to use measurements, handle money, and tell the time. The course aims to improve your English skills through practical numeracy tasks in a supportive learning environment. Your tutor will encourage the use of language around numeracy and you will work with incredible students from all around the world that can compare language used for numeracy from their countries. This course is funded by West Sussex Multiply.

Course description

Throughout this West Sussex Multiply course, you will focus on foundational skills essential for everyday numeracy. You will start by mastering the basics of reading and writing numbers in English, ensuring you can confidently interpret and communicate numerical information.

You will delve into essential math terminology, helping you grasp key concepts and apply them to solve basic mathematical problems. Practical exercises will cover a range of topics including measurements, handling money, and telling time, equipping you with the skills needed for practical situations in daily life. Each session is designed to be interactive and engaging, promoting active participation and hands-on learning.
