Spain away from the Costas. A brief history of Spain from prehistoric times to the present day and a look at the various regions that make up Spain
Be able to describe an outline of Spain's history
Be able to state some of the influences of the New World on Spain Be able to describe some aspects of the geographic and other differences of the Spanish regions

Course description
A brief look at the history of Spain from prehistoric times through the Roman and Moorish occupation, the Reconquest, and the Golden Age, the decline and, more recently, General Franco and until the current period.
The regions of Spain are quite diverse with 17 autonomous regions and six official languages
