If you do not live in a West Sussex postcode area, please do not apply for this course - thanks for your understanding* On this course we are going to sow some seeds to grow a selection of edible plants: herbs and vegetables on a windowsill. The session is delivered in real time, so you can sow seeds along with me asking questions as we go. A list of suggested resources will be on Canvas before the course begins so you can go shopping. We will explore the limitations of windowsill growing, and the advantages, particularly in relation to cost. We shall see which windowsill crops are economically worth growing, and which aren't! I will cover onward care and harvesting, and any questions will be welcome, as will sharing your own experiences - good and bad!

Windowsill Gardening: Cultivating Edible Delights from Seed to Harvest

Embark on a green-fingered adventure in our "Windowsill Gardening" course, where we'll sow the seeds of knowledge to cultivate a bounty of herbs and vegetables right on your windowsill. Join me in real-time sessions as we delve into the art of seed sowing, discussing techniques and answering questions as we sow together.

Before our first session, access a curated list of resources on Canvas to prepare for our gardening journey. Explore the practicalities and advantages of windowsill gardening, from space limitations to cost-effectiveness. Together, we'll assess the economic viability of growing various crops and discern which ones are worth your time and resources.

Learn essential care routines and harvesting tips to ensure your windowsill garden thrives. Share your experiences and learn from others as we navigate the joys and challenges of home gardening.

Outcome:

By the end of the course, you'll have developed the skills and confidence to sow seeds and nurture edible plants on your windowsill, bringing the joy of homegrown produce to your table.
