This pre-entry level ESOL course will help you to communicate basic ideas in English. You will practise reading, writing, speaking and listening, with a focus on conversation skills.

Course description

This is an English course for adults. You will develop basic English language skills. Before you can enrol on this course, you’ll do a skills check. This is for us to make sure you get on the right course for your level. Please note that you’ll need an internet connection to study this English course for beginners. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas. On this course you will learn to:

use numbers 1 to 50 in English.

write with upper case and lower case letters

ask and answer simple questions about yourself

say the letters of the alphabet so you can spell out your name

read and understand common words.

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need.
All of our digital content, teaching and learning activities and assessments are designed to be accessible so if you need any additional support you can discuss this with the education experts during your enrolment journey and we will do all we can to make sure you have optimal access.
