Guidance and support is offered throughout the course from our talented tutor, to develop your artistic skills. You will also have the opportunity to connect with and support others in a small artistic community. No previous skills in mosaics are needed to join this group.

Have you previously experimented with textile collage and pictures but would like to add to your skills? This online course is a great way to gain more confidence in creating your own pieces of textile work with fabric and stitching and adding in using lettering to create a journal theme. The course is suitable for improvers who would like to expand their knowledge of creative textiles and uses simple stitching to add texture and lettering details. You will have the opportunity to come up with your own ideas and create a textile picture using the techniques you will be learning throughout the sessions; each learner will have a unique composition at the of the course.

Enhance your clay crafting skills with our Craft: Art of Clay for Improvers course. Learn advanced techniques for working with clay and creating intricate designs. Ideal for individuals with basic clay crafting knowledge looking to refine their skills.

Express your creativity and develop it further as you make, decorate and embellish your own Art and Junk Journal from scratch. Hand made journals are a brilliant way to be creative, from designing the cover to choosing and decorating the pages of your signature. If that wasn’t enough actually using the journal allows your creative side to blossom and grow in ways you wouldn’t believe. They also make fabulous, personalised gifts for your loved ones. Join me and a supportive group of like minded crafters as we build on existing and develop new skills and techniques to enhance our journaling experience. This course is ideal for anyone who likes to make things and has simple paper-craft materials on hand such as glue, paper – plain copy paper is great for your junk journal though you’ll need watercolour or similar papers for the art journal. Paints, felt pens, colouring pencils along with some collage materials and images – magazines, old book pages etc. You will share your progress with your peer students in class discussions and your tutor will be working along with you all the way, demonstrating techniques, sharing advice and tips and breaking everything down step by step .

This course will focus on a selection of British female artists whose work, encompassing a wide range of themes and practices, can be seen to respond to the rapidly changing social, political and cultural milieu of the last five decades. Artists to be studied include Susan Hiller, Lubaina Himid, Sonia Boyce, Jenny Saville, Tracey Emin, Rachel Whiteread, Chila Kumari Burman, Tania Kovats, Claudette Johnson, Rana Begum and many more.

Do you have basic hand embroidery skills, but would like more confidence to learn how use them and create your own decorative designs? During this course you will learn how to create a basic Mandala design, transfer the design to fabric, learn several new stitches and apply them to your design. The course is great for beginners and improvers who would like to increase their knowledge of hand embroidery and mix up basic and intermediate stitch techniques. This online course is a great mix of simple learning and mindful stitching to create a sense of wellbeing and relaxation throughout the course.
