Do you have an interest in sewing, fashion or dressmaking and want to get started? This course is for you if you are new to sewing and using a sewing machine
On this course, you will learn the basicsewing techniques needed to use a machine. With the support of your tutor, you will learn how to use pattern to make samples and a simple garment.

Course description
Start your journey to being your own dressmaker. If you are someone who loves fashion or like the idea of making your own clothes, this course is the perfect place to start.
Throughout the course, you'll gain the skills needed to make a simple piece of clothing on a sewing machine.
You will gain the following sewing skills:
learn how to read and use a commercial pattern
take measurements
choose pattern sizes
make adjustments.
On this course you will explore the qualities of different fabrics and understand more about how to work with them. Start to learn to use a sewing machine to create seams, darts, facing and neck lines.
Learn to a make a simple garment and produce some samples, recordings and photos for your folder (online and on paper) every week.
