Are you ready to take the next step in your dressmaking? Progress your sewing skills with this intermediate dressmaking course.
Throughhout the class, you will improve the sewing, measuring and adjustment skills you need to become a dressmaker. By the end of the course, you'll be able to make and finish garments, and improve your knowledge of fabrics.

Course description
If you love sewing and want to make more of your own clothes, this course will help you on your path to becoming a dressmaker. Build on your existing sewing skills and learn to make clothes for yourself or friends. This could be the first step towards making and selling your own clothes, so if you love fashion and textiles, take your passion to the next level.
During this course, you will learn how to:
improve your skill in taking measurements
manage commercial patterns
prepare fabric for cutting
use a sewing machine
stitch fabric,
making seams, necks and buttonholes
inserting zip
As you progress throughout the course, you earn to use an overlocker to create a professional finish and widen your knowledge of fabrics.
Make at least one garment and produce samples, recordings and photos for your folder (online and on paper) every week.
