Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.

Course description
This is an in-depth sewing course, you’ll work on designing and constructing an Asian dress. The course focuses on precision, creativity, and garment structure, helping you bring a professional finish to your handmade dress.
You’ll begin by taking accurate body measurements, followed by drafting or modifying a paper pattern to suit your chosen design. From there, you'll move into cutting and stitching the garment using advanced techniques suitable for delicate fabrics and detailed styles. With personalized guidance and plenty of hands-on practice, you’ll gain the confidence and skills to create beautifully tailored pieces with cultural elegance.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
· Take precise body measurements for fitted garments
· Cut fabric accurately for traditional and modern dress styles
· Apply advanced stitching techniques and finishing methods
· Draft or adapt a paper pattern for an Asian dress
· Assemble and complete a custom garment with a professional finish
