Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
Stage Management has many aspects and skills. Use this course to discover which aspects you would like to specialise in. Develop the confidence and resilience to express your opinions in a confident but considerate way whilst working as part of a team. Learn how to stay calm, motivate yourself and others, even when things don't go quite to plan! Experience the thrill and pressure of a live performance. During the course you will:
1. Select 1 costume, Stage Set or Prop to design
2. Research ideas through internet sites
3. Construct chosen piece to be used by an actor in a live theatre Performance
4. Contribute to group discussion, compare and share ideas with the group
5. Record your progress on a digital platform Canvas
Following this course you will be able to progress to a more in-depth next steps course in the same subject. Your tutor can also discuss other options for progression such as functional skills, or practical courses leading to employment.
