Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
This course is creative, practical and hands on, designed to give you the opportunity to develop your own unique artistic style as well as building your confidence in your own creative skills. By The end of your course, you'll know how to create beautifully decorated journal spreads and have a wealth of techniques to continue your creative journey. Perfect for anyone who loves paper crafting storytelling or experimenting with artistic styles
Throughout this course we will look at:
Essential tools and materials
Safe use of paper craft tools
Designing a range of ephemera pieces to personalise your pages
Adding depth and texture to your spreads.
During each session you will have the opportunity to comment on your classmates work, and receive feedback on your own from both tutor and fellow learners.This sharing of what we have made can be incredibly inspiring and instil confidence in our own work and creative ability.
This course is suitable for beginners as well as those more experienced crafters and as far as supplies go you will needs a random selection of the following:
• card-stock- old cereal boxes, or your scrap box pieces.
• plain and patterned paper
• a pencil and ruler, glue – wet, or stick, tape runner, mod podge.
• old books, magazine pages, papers for collage
• Fabric scraps, ribbon, lace
• Broken jewellery pieces – beads, chain links, charms, clasps etc
