Course description

The "Art: Developing Techniques in Watercolour" course is designed for beginner to intermediate learners eager to explore the fluid and luminous medium of watercolour. This course offers a thorough introduction to the fundamental techniques and principles of watercolour painting, allowing participants to develop their artistic skills and personal style.

The course begins with an overview of watercolour materials, including brushes, paper types, and paints. Participants will learn foundational techniques such as creating washes, glazing, and the wet-on-wet method. Instruction will also cover essential aspects of colour theory, mixing, and achieving the right balance of pigment and water to create vibrant, translucent layers.

Students will engage in a variety of hands-on exercises to practice these techniques, working on projects that range from simple studies to more complex compositions.
