Our creative arts courses will get you working with pastels and charcoals, exploring what creative pieces you can achieve. In this course develop your own style of drawing in this welcoming safe space. This class will encourage you to challenge your skills and build on your love of art. Bring your favourite materials or use the resources provided and express yourself in this friendly and warm setting. This tutor has years of art experience and is very popular with out learners. The venue offers a friendly atmosphere and even a free lunch prior to the course beginning.

Course description

Express your creativity! Come and join us to learn how to use pastels and charcoal to create your own masterpiece. On this course you will have the opportunity to extend your knowledge and understanding of different drawing techniques and learn practical and technical skills. You will share your progress with your peer students in class discussions and give feedback on theirs and your own creations. With supportive guidance, tips, tricks and demos from your tutor, you will also be inspired by stimulating resources from other artists work, handouts and pictures to guide and keep you focussed throughout the course. The main purpose of a course such as this is to give students a visual language offering emotional expression and empowering them to create artworks of personal insight. This in turn can have wonderful benefits on your mental health, as you will be working in a peaceful, friendly environment with like-minded people. You will be guided by a friendly and experienced tutor, who will tailor the course to suit your needs.

Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
