Build on your existing knowledge of Greek and improve your speaking and listening skills so that you can communicate in Greek more confidently and effectively in a wider range of situations. The emphasis will be on developing your speaking and listening skills in a friendly and supportive atmosphere and through a variety of activities. You will also improve your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, your reading and writing skills and you will gain a further insight into the Greek lifestyle and culture.
Topics include talking about how you spent the summer, giving good wishes to Greek friends and acquaintances on various occasions, shopping for footwear and other items, and making transactions at the post office. The course is taught by a well-qualified and experienced native speaker with many years’ teaching experience who will help you explore the language and the culture.
This course is for learners who have studied Greek for about four years and have some knowledge of common verbs in the simple future and simple past tense. If you are not sure if this course is right for you, feel free to discuss it with WEA staff at skills check.
