Dive into the different forms you can tell a story. We’ll look at braided stories, hermit crabs, list stories, epistolary and fragmentary forms across fiction and creative non fiction. Learn the techniques and appreciate the effects different shapes of a story can enhance your writing.

Course description

There’s no one way to tell a story. Learn exciting new forms that can help embellish the story you want to write. Extracts from essays and novels will be analysed to consider the ways the form conveys the themes and enhances the impact of the story. In class we’ll have writing time to practice the techniques. In addition, each learner will have the opportunity to submit a short piece of writing for tutor written feedback and peer feedback.

Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
