When we hear the name ‘Agatha Christie’ we think about the crime novels for which she is so famous. This course is funded by the Education Skills and Funding Agency.

Course description

This session, which occurs during the month of International Women’s Day, will look at another side of this famous author – through her marriage to an archaeologist, Christie visited many archaeological sites in the Near East. This session will introduce her archaeological travels and some of the sites which played an important part in both her life and her writing, we will consider how the archaeology contributed to Christie’s writing, but also what she gave back in return
