This Multiply Maths for Construction Workers course builds essential numeracy skills tailored for those in or aspiring to join the construction sector. Spanning six 2-hour sessions, this course covers practical applications such as measurement conversions, area and perimeter calculations, and mixing ratios, all within a construction context. Course description

Multiply Maths for Construction Workers is designed to build foundational maths skills essential in the construction sector, making it ideal for both those seeking to brush up and newcomers to the field. The course focuses on practical skills such as identifying core maths skills needed in construction, calculating metric conversions for real-world tasks, and using ratios to mix concrete accurately. Learners will also practice calculating perimeter and area, determine the correct number of slabs for projects like patios, and apply decimal calculations for weekly pay estimations. Each session connects maths concepts directly to construction scenarios, ensuring learners can apply these skills confidently in their work.

Note: This introductory short online course offers a foundation in practical numeracy skills relevant to construction. It will familiarise learners with basic maths used in common construction tasks, providing helpful support for those considering accredited maths qualifications required in the field. Its also suitable for individuals currently in construction at entry level, who want to refresh their essential maths skills.
