Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject

Course overview
Course description
This course provides an in-depth exploration of figure drawing, focusing on capturing accuracy and expression. We will introduce the materials to be used, and tools of the trade. Learners will learn techniques for quick sketches along with introducing light into their drawings. Learners will learn essential techniques for drawing figures, including anatomy, proportion, gesture, and shading. Through live online sessions, guided exercises, and individual projects, students will develop their observational skills and artistic techniques to create dynamic and lifelike figure drawings. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the structure, conveying movement, and expressing personality through the figure. Lessons will be delivered online with demonstrations. Assignments will include both structured exercises to build technical confidence and skills and independent projects to encourage creativity.
