Join this online hand embroidery course and take some time out at this busy time of year to sit down and enjoy making a selection of handmade decorations with a varied group of learners. This course is suitable for students that are new to embroidery or those that are experienced at stitching and want to add their own extra details. There will be a different decoration to make each week and add hand embroidered stitching to embellish. You could keep the decorations for yourself or give them as a lovely gift that could be used again and again each year.

This new course is a great introduction to embroidering on felt fabric and has been designed for beginner and improver level hand stitchers. The online course provides you with simple digital tools to help your learning, the class environment is a friendly with enthusiastic learners that you can share your work and stitching passion with. Learning to stitch on felt is a great alternative to using the ordinary cotton fabrics and Aida normally used for embroidery stitching.The sessions will begin with the focus on learning several hand embroidery stitches and introduce themes such as how to layer and combine simple stitches to create different patterns. As the course progresses you will also learn how to make a needlebook and small pincushion out of felt pieces, both of which are ideal for practising your new found or improved level of stitching on. Do you have basic hand embroidery skills, but would like more confidence to learn how use them and create your own decorative designs? During this course you will learn how to create a basic Mandala design, transfer the design to fabric, learn several new stitches and apply them to your design. The course is great for beginners and improvers who would like to increase their knowledge of hand embroidery and mix up basic and intermediate stitch techniques. This online course is a great mix of simple learning and mindful stitching to create a sense of wellbeing and relaxation throughout the course.
