Start your journey of learning English with our Pre-Entry ESOL course, designed for beginners who are new to the English language. This course focuses on building foundational skills in a supportive and friendly environment.

This course is for women only. It will be held at the Dolphin Women's Centre, Washwood Heath, Birmingham and is an ESOL course for beginners. The course will help you to develop your basic speaking and listening, reading and writing skills in English. This is an English course aimed at adults for whom English is not their first language. You will get lots of opportuntities to practice your new English skills in groups and individually, you will also be given homework tasks so you can continue to practice at home.. If you are suipporting someone to find an English class you have come to the right place. This course is funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority.

All our Care2 courses are completely free for unpaid carers (or those who have previously been carers). You do not need to receive a carer's allowance to qualify. If you are unsure, please contact our call centre advisors who will be able to assist you. This course is a follow on from the hugely popular first course that ran at the Reading Rooms last year. You do not need to have attended the first course to participate on this one. This course is put on in partnership with Wolverhampton City Council and the DWP. It is suitable with learners who wish to improve their English to get ready to apply for a job, who are unemployed and looking for work and who also have English as a second language. Learners with English as a second language, who are looking for work and receiving benefits and aged 19 plus are eligible. If you are in receipt of work related benefits, speak to your work coach at the Job Centre and mention JCP Wolverhampton Hub. Subject to eligibility, travel expenses can be paid.
