This course will help you if English is not your first language and if you are struggling to understand the vocabulary needed to pass the UK Driving Theory Test. During the course, we will cover the English technical language you are likely to need. You will also learn about the language used in the Highway Code and about transport in the UK. We will also cover road signs, road markings and the rules of driving. The course will help you to feel more confident that you are ready to apply for the Theory Test.

This BSL course is suitable for you if you need to communicate with deaf people or people with hearing impairments. It can help you in a variety of contexts, for example in a voluntary or community role, or simply through social interactions. This course is aimed at intermediate learners. You will build on your existing BSL skills. If you would like to start from scratch, you can take the beginner’s BSL course.

This "Introduction to the Early Years Practitioner" course is designed for beginners seeking foundational knowledge in early childhood education and care. You will learn essential safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children in Early Years settings. The course covers the development of babies and young children from birth to 7 years, with a focus on the crucial 0-5 years. Key topics include health and safety, safeguarding, special educational needs, and the promotion of play. A separate digital session is also arranged to get familiar with our Virtual Learning Platform, Canvas. Upon successful completion, you can progress to a Level 2 Qualification in Early Years Practitioner with WEA.
