It will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to work in an administration, technical, or support role in a learning environment. Studying support work in schools at level 2 can be a first step towards working with children in teaching positions.

Are you currently studying? On this Confidence to Learn course, you will develop study skills that will help direct you to a more focused way of studying. If you have not studied for a long time, or worried about how to start an assignment, or manage your time, this is the course for you. You will have the opportunity to personalise your approach to study and learning. Over the course you will find out what works best for you. General study skills are not for a specific subject, they are skills that cover all subject areas. The study skills you will develop at this level will help as you go through each topic on the course. To develop your study skills, you will practise a variety of tasks such as time management, active listening skills, note taking and many more. This will help you become more confident in the way you study. Study skills are not just for this course, they can be used in a variety of ways, for example solving problems in everyday life and managing your time successfully and learning to remain focused on a task.

Step into the world of mindful crafts with this course and enjoy art for relaxation. This creativity course allows you to explore your art and craft skills to find practices that soothe you. Whether you enjoy drawing, painting, origami, or craft-making, art courses can help you find a relaxing hobby.

This course is aimed at supporting unemployed young adults who experience common mental wellbeing problems, into positive outcomes. The programme will support individuals to move on into employment, addressing their barriers and identifying their employability needs. Throughout the course you will build upon your self-esteem and confidence, as well as building your ability to confidently speak in public. You will also think about your long-term career goals and how to work towards them. This programme will be designed to support young people in Wolverhampton who are experiencing health and wellbeing barriers to accessing employment, learning and opportunities to progression. This programme has been created in collaboration with the City of Wolverhampton Council and is funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority.

Have you completed an introductory or a Level 1 helping in schools’ course? Then this introductory course is right for you. It will provide you with the necessary knowledge and study skills needed to prepare you for a Level 2 course. It will also provide you with the opportunity to practice using study skills such as quizzes, case studies and related texts. You will get the chance to discuss new topics with other learners and, ask and answer questions. You will also be given a brief outline of what you will learn on your course. Your tutor will give you constructive feedback to ensure you are ready for your next stage of learning.

This course is targeted at our Esol level 1 students. It will help you learn how to save money and manage your budget. You will learn to create a simple budget, keep track of your spending, and find ways to save on bills. We will talk about saving on electricity, water, and heating bills, as well as tips for cheaper grocery shopping and finding good deals. You will also learn how to spend less on transport and entertainment. By the end of the course, you will know how to make your money go further and feel more in control of your finances.
