Functional skills English courses teach you essential English skills employers look for and also to support your career opportunities. These skills can also help you excel in your studies, and support with helping young children with school work. Gain confidence writing a range of texts and boost your reading skills. This Get Ready for Entry 3 Functional Skills English course teaches you skills to support you in learning and work situations.

Once you complete this get ready for course you will have the opportunity to join the accredited online Entry 3 Functional Skills English course. You will have the opportunity to work towards gaining higher qualifications in English. English functional skills courses are accepted as a GCSE equivalent for many jobs and courses. higher functional skills qualifications can help you do an apprenticeship, a higher education course, or go to university.

To take this English course you need to have a digital device such as a computer or tablet with camera. You’ll also need an internet connection. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas.
