If you enjoy the buzz of learning environments, this qualification can teach you key skills for employment in a school or college. This government-funded course prepares you for a variety of roles. It provides the basic skills and knowledge necessary to work in admin, technical, or support roles in a learning environment. Studying support work in schools at level 2 can be a first step towards working with kids in teaching positions. It also provides you with the qualifications needed to work in admin at schools. No matter what role you’re interested in, this course can teach you skills for employability in schools and colleges.

Course description

Understand child development and learn how to support children's well-being. Gain insight into the operation of a school or college. Understand essential safeguarding practices for working with children. Become familiar with diversity, equality, and inclusion considerations in the school environment

Your tutor will set various tasks to assess your learning. These may include producing leaflets, charts or diagrams, or information boards.

This award usually takes around 120 hours to complete and can be done in 6 months. After, you can progress to the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

The aim of this qualification is to prepare you for a variety of job roles that can be done in schools and colleges. These could include: learning assistant, technical support worker, classroom volunteer, administrative worker, or any other on-site roles.

Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
