Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course description
This course is designed to support students who are considering a career in the childcare and early years sector. The primary goal is to help students determine if this field is the right fit for them. Throughout the course, students will learn about the introduction of child development and the importance of play. They will explore various job roles and qualifications available in childcare, along with the skills and qualities required for success in the early years sector. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of the daily responsibilities involved in working with children. This includes promoting well-being, encouraging positive behaviour, and understanding the difference between safeguarding and child protection.
