Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course description
This course is tailored for pre-entry ESOL learners to build foundational digital skills necessary for navigating the modern digital landscape. The course introduces fundamental computer skills, including using a keyboard, mouse, and basic software applications such as word processing and email. Students will also learn how to browse the internet safely and effectively. Interactive tutorials, practical exercises, and hands-on activities will guide students through each skill, ensuring understanding and mastery. The course emphasises practical application, allowing students to practice what they learn in real-world scenarios. Throughout the course, students will gain confidence in using digital tools and understanding basic computer terminology. They will develop essential skills for communicating online, accessing information, and completing basic tasks using digital technology. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently navigate digital platforms and use technology for everyday tasks.
