Building a website is easier than you think with WordPress. If you’d like to have a space online to share your thoughts, work, or creations, this beginner’s WordPress course can prepare you to launch your site in a matter of weeks. Whether you’re a small business owner, vendor, blogger, or just enthusiastic about a subject, you can benefit from having visibility online. This WordPress training takes you through the process of creating your website step by step. This WordPress course is aimed at beginners, so don’t worry if this is new to you! WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS) which allows you to easily build great looking websites. CMS training courses teach you essential skills to set up and maintain a website.

Course description

This WordPress training covers the basics of how to create your website. Explore WordPress’

selection of templates, so you don’t have to start your site from scratch. Learn to use themes

and edit text and colours. You’ll also gain familiarity with basic plugins in this WordPress course.

Taking a CMS training course helps you learn digital skills to get in front of your target audience

online. If you’re interested in other ways of marketing yourself or your services online, you could

take a social media marketing course.

If you’re interested in digital marketing courses for professional reasons, you can take an

accredited digital promotion course.

If you’re not sure which course to study after, feel free to chat to your tutor who will be happy to

suggest options that could interest you.

You’ll need access to the internet to take this WordPress course. Your tutor will upload useful

materials to Canvas, the WEA’s digital learning platform.

Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
