Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

This course is designed for sewing enthusiasts who have mastered basic techniques and are ready to take their skills to the next level. Focusing on understanding patterns and creating polished, professional-quality projects, this course bridges the gap between beginner and advanced sewing.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will:
1. Develop confidence in reading and interpreting commercial sewing patterns.
2. Learn intermediate techniques such as:
• Seam finishes (e.g., French seams, flat-felled seams).
• Zipper insertions (invisible and lapped).
• Buttonholes and closures.
3. Understand fabric properties to make informed material choices.
4. Modify patterns to adjust fit and customize designs.
5. Complete several sewing projects, such as garments, home decor items, or accessories, showcasing their skills.
