Course overview

For carers, former carers and the cared for. Take out some moments in your day to make a collage and enjoy a tactile and dynamic experience and notice how beauty can be created out of anything. You will be encouraged to choose diverse materials and bring them together in a process of discovery that strengthens your visual self- expression. Learn how this activity can also reduce stress, boost creativity, and enhance overall wellbeing in a supportive and nurturing environment

Course description

You will be invited to create a collage with everyday materials such as newspapers, magazines, discarded flyers coloured paper that can as simple or as complex as you like and there is no right or wrong. With only a gluestick and scissors to hand or through tearing, we will be exploring different ways to layer material, create abstract imagery and intuitively create connections within our work. Easily accessible ways to be mindful will be introduced during the workshop and you’ll be guided through as much, or as little as you choose, in the process of creating your collage.
