This Advanced level course will build on skills gained in the Pre Entry and Intermediate courses that you may have studied previously, or you may be assessed by the tutor as ready for this course straight away. Step into Care

This is a pre-employment programme delivered online that is designed to support you into work within Adult Social Care. The programme will help you to prepare for work in a care setting by covering key elements of the adult social care pathway, including digital skills, and the opportunity to take a Level 1 course in mental health awareness. You will also gain skills in writing CVs and application forms for social care jobs.  Basically,  this programme is made up of three parts - a value-based interview and training with us at the WEA. If you complete the training successfully you are guaranteed an interview with a social care employer.  This is a working interview, to give you the opportunity experience working in a caring environment.
