This course is an exciting new opportunity to develop your confidence and skills in speaking and listening in English. You will learn basic conversational skills such as giving and asking for personal information from friends and neighbours, as well as employment and learning based vocabulary. This course is designed to provide a basic foundation of skills to allow learners to access their next steps in a more formal learning setting.

Are you looking for work in the UK or thinking of starting work in the UK? If you have never worked in the UK or worked abroad but limited experience of working in the UK, this course is for you. The course is designed to support to improve your spoken and written English when thinking about your work skills and the type of work you are interest in. You will take part in mock interviews and help each other to practice your English through informal activities and discussion to prepare you for the world of work and improve your confidence.

If you would like to learn or refresh your knowledge of hand embroidery, these short courses are perfect for you. You can take one or two of the courses or sign up for all three as follow on sessions. During the sessions you can share your stitching and ideas with the rest of the class and receive guidance and support from your tutor. The classes are set up for learners that have English as a second language, each course teaches hand embroidery in a safe space with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This course is ONLY for residents of West Sussex. Please do not apply if you are from a West Sussex postcode area. This short course is designed for learners currently studying ESOL who want to learn more about the language and skills that will help you manage your money, make good shopping decisions, and understand budgeting. The course will look at the principles of managing money in everyday situations like comparing prices on the high street, working out the best deal for transport to get to work or learning, or the cost of cooking a meal.

This beginner to pre-intermediate course will help you to communicate basic ideas in English on a range of everyday topics. You will practise reading, writing, speaking and listening, with a focus on conversation skills. You will also learn new vocabulary, improve your pronunciation, and start to learn about basic English grammar. You will work with other learners at a similar level and be expected to take part in pair and group activities in the classroom. If you have little to no experience speaking and learning English - this is the course for you. We have an experienced and professional tutor who will offer you the guidance, support and practice needed to improve your English language ability. The classes will be relaxed, informal and friendly - a safe space to meet new people and learn new skills.
