Personal Development: Preparing for Life in the UK Test

The course will cover important laws, historical events, important people, and cultural and social behaviours of the UK. Most importantly we will look at many exam questions and practice these both as a group and individually. Anyone applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK or British Citizenship must be prepared to take the ‘Life in the UK’ test. The test now required under the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 shows your knowledge of British life. You will find out about eligibility and the application process; understand what is required to pass the exam; improve your knowledge of the UK; practice your English through informal activities and discussion and mock exam questions to help improve your English and confidence. You will also need a minimum of Entry 1 or 2 English to participate in this course. If you have not already had a skills assessment to check your English level we can arrange this and refer you to suitable preparation courses so that you can reach this level.
