Award in ESOL Skills for Life (Writing) (Entry 2)

What we’ll cover

• Spell common words you need to talk about yourself and everyday situations

• Write information in different situations, for example, emails or filling out forms

• Identify and use the correct verb form in present, past, and future tenses

• Use connectors to join sentences and improve your writing

• Expand your vocabulary and learn to add descriptions with adjectives.

This is an entry 2 English course for adults. You will work on developing your writing skills.

You need foundational writing skills to take this course, that’s why you’ll need to do a skills check to enrol. Don’t worry, this isn’t an exam. It’s for us to make sure you get on the right course for you.

When you complete this module, you can continue with other ESOL skills for life entry 2 courses. Once you finish the reading, writing, and speaking & listening courses, you can progress to entry 3 level.

There are also “Get Ready” courses between each module to prepare you for the next course.

What to expect

This entry 2 ESOL writing course takes around 90 hours to complete.

Please note that you’ll need an internet connection to study this English course. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas.
