Course overview

This course will focus on looking at ways of protecting our health. This course will help people manage their health and money better by looking at health facts, budgeting and reducing food waste. We will use numeracy to upskill students in understanding their health in numbers so that they are able to make better choices and increase their mental health and wellbeing. 

Course description

This course will be delivered face to face and will consist of 4 sessions of 2 hours. We will look at ‘best by’ and ‘sell by dates and explore what it means to help with budgeting and to help reduce food waste in our homes and generally. By using mathematical figures, we will be able to work towards improving numeracy skills while developing vocabulary around general health and ways of improving it.

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need.
All of our digital content, teaching and learning activities and assessments are designed to be accessible so if you need any additional support you can discuss this with the education experts during your enrolment journey and we will do all we can to make sure you have optimal access.
