Course description

In this course, you will learn how to make work from and be inspired by natural forms such as flowers, trees, and objects from the riverbed or seashore. Different tasks and approaches with watercolour will be discussed each session such as

• how to control water to pigment ratio and use of brush

• how to use a resist to create highlights

• how to create different effects using wet on wet techniques, line and wash, focus on lost and found edges.

• how to create texture using experimental techniques with different additive mediums (salt, bleach, clingfilm, gum Arabic)
