This course is for people who want to know what action to take in an emergency and how to deal effectively with accidents and injuries. Develop confidence and knowledge of how injuries can be prevented and how to take support others who are injured. This course is funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority.

Course description

This course is a basic awareness course that provides you with a general understanding of first aid and how to manage incidents safely. You will learn about a range of emergencies, practice CPR and learn how to recognise when someone is having a stroke. Begin to become aware of the principles of first aid and how to respond to the needs of others who may be injured. Learn how to stay clam and what steps to take in an emergency. The importance of recording data accuratley and what informton is needed.

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
