Course description
Creative Writing: Creative Writing Group – Sense of Place: Showing & Telling, Part 2 is designed for writers who want to further develop their ability to create vivid and engaging settings in their work. This course builds on the techniques covered in Part 1, focusing on more advanced aspects of descriptive writing, including the use of metaphor, symbolism, and mood. Participants will engage in writing exercises, peer critiques, and discussions that encourage them to experiment with different approaches to setting and description. By the end of the course, participants will have produced a portfolio of writing that showcases their ability to create a strong sense of place in their work. This course is ideal for writers who have completed Part 1 or have some experience in descriptive writing and want to continue honing their skills.
