Polish your writing skills in English. This ESOL level 2 course teaches you advanced knowledge to help you write and analyse a variety of texts in English. Improved speaking and listening skills can open doors to work and study options in the UK. This ESOL course builds on skills you learnt at level 1. Perfect your speaking and listening skills in English while practicing critical thinking. This is an English course for adyults. It is aimed at speakers of other languages. ESOL courses are divided into 3 areas: reading, writing and speaking & listening. If you are helping others access ESOL classes in the UK, you have come to the right place.

Course description

What we’ll cover: • Make contributions to discussions on a given topic, making appropriate choices for vocabulary, formality and tone of voice • Listen for and identify pieces of information in different situations (eg. Telephone calls, radio/TV, recorded information). • Respond to detailed or extended questions giving appropriate answers. • Make requests and ask questions to obtain information in familiar and unfamiliar contexts • Recognise different modal verbs using correct function written or spoken, in a sentence or question. This ESOL level 2 course focuses on how to improve speaking and listening skills in English. It is for adults. You need prior speaking and listening skills to take this course, that’s why you’ll do a skills check to enrol. Don’t worry, this isn’t an exam. It’s for us to make sure you get on the right course for you. Our friendly team will contact you to start your skills check as part of your booking. When you complete this module, you can continue with other ESOL skills for life level 2 courses. There are also reading and writing courses. What to expect: This hybrid (online and face to face) ESOL level 2 speaking and listening course takes 22.5 hours to complete. The WEA is an experienced ESOL course provider. We want you to get the most out of your studies and open doors to opportunities. Our tutors and staff will help you with any language needs you might have.
