Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
The objective of this digital training is to help you get ready to take online ESOL classes. You will learn essential digital skills before you start your English course.
Learn digital skills to help you study an ESOL English course online. Understand how to take part in video calls. Learn to use Canvas, the WEA’s digital learning website. You will learn to use Canvas to:
contact your tutor and classmates
download and upload files
complete quizzes
take part in discussions
access additional support.
This digital skills course will prepare you to study an online English course for foreigners. The aim of the course is to introduce you to the tools and services you will need to study English online.
To study this course you’ll need a digital device and an internet connection. This is so you can access our digital learning resources.
